Answers to keep you moving.
The questions sellers ask, from signing up to their first payout. Amounts and timeframes shown are the ones in force today.
ACreating an account
How do I open my shop?
Click “Open my shop”, then enter your email address, a password and your shop name. Then confirm your address with the link we email you.
If you already have a customer account, sign in first: you will only be asked for your shop name.
Is there a fee to sign up?
No. There is no subscription, sign-up fee or listing fee. Darmi Vault only takes a 3% commission on your sales.
I didn’t receive the confirmation email.
Check your spam folder. From your account, you can ask for the link to be sent again. If the address you entered has a typo, write to us from the Contact page.
Can I prepare my shop before I’m verified?
Yes. As soon as you sign up, you can use the Seller Center: customise your shop and create your product listings as drafts. Nothing is visible to the public until your shop is activated.
BShop verification
Which documents do I need?
Your company registration number (SIREN in France); a valid ID document; the IBAN of the account that will receive your sales (in the United States, your account number).
Sole traders in the European Union also provide their tax number, because we have to report your sales every year.
We don’t ask for an extract of registration or proof of address by default. If we need anything else, we’ll write to you and explain why.
Who reviews my application, and how long does it take?
Every application is reviewed by a person on our team. How long it takes depends on how many applications we have and whether yours is complete, so we can’t guarantee a timeframe. You’ll get an email for every decision or request for more information.
Why is my application incomplete?
The most common reasons: a company number we can’t find or that doesn’t match the declared name, an unreadable or expired ID, a bank account that isn’t in the name of the seller or their company, a missing tax number, or seller commitments that haven’t been accepted.
The “Activation” page in your Seller Center shows exactly what’s missing.
What happens to my documents?
They are encrypted. Only our verification team can open them, they are never published, and they are deleted at the end of the legal retention period.
Which countries can I sell from?
Your business must be registered in one of these countries: France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, United States.
CManaging products
How do I add a product?
In the Seller Center, open “My products”, then “Add a product”. Fill in the title, description, price, category, stock and weight, then add your photos.
The product becomes visible once your shop is activated and you publish it.
Can I offer several sizes or colours?
Yes. Each product can have variants (size, colour…), each with its own price, stock and SKU.
How do I keep track of stock?
Stock is set per product or per variant. Your dashboard flags products that are out of stock and those that fall below the alert threshold you chose.
Which products are not allowed?
You commit to offering only products that comply with EU law and other applicable law: safety, labelling, intellectual property and prohibited products. A non-compliant product may be removed.
DOrders
How am I told about a new order?
You get an email and a notification in your account. The order appears under “Orders”, with the delivery address and the items to prepare.
What if a customer buys from several shops at once?
The customer pays once, but each shop receives its own order with its own reference. You only see the items that concern you.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, as long as it hasn’t shipped, by giving a reason. The customer is refunded and the items go back into your stock.
EShipping
How are shipping costs set?
Platform rates apply by default, zone by zone. You can set your own under “Shipping”: flat rate, by weight or per item, with free shipping above an amount if you wish. Customers always see the exact amount before they pay.
Which countries can I ship to?
Customers can order from these countries: France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, United States. You choose the ones you ship to under “My shop”. Outside the European Union, a shop ships to customers in its own country.
How do I mark an order as shipped?
In the order, choose “Ship” and enter the carrier and tracking number. The customer is notified and can follow the parcel from their account.
Darmi Vault doesn’t create shipping labels: you ship with the carrier of your choice.
FPricing and commission
How much does Darmi Vault cost?
3% per sale, charged only when you sell. No subscription, no sign-up fee, no listing fee.
What is the commission calculated on?
On the price of the items, excluding shipping: the shipping costs paid by the customer are yours. It is calculated on each sale when the order is paid, then deducted from the amount paid out to you.
Can my rate be different?
A specific rate can be agreed with a shop; it is then shown in its Seller Center. Each sale keeps the rate in force when it was paid: a rate change never affects past sales.
What happens to the commission when a customer is refunded?
It is returned in proportion to the amount refunded: Darmi Vault keeps no commission on the refunded part.
GPayouts
When do I get paid?
Your share is paid by bank transfer to the account registered in your Seller Center, after a 7-day holding period following the order. This leaves time to handle early returns.
A payout may be suspended if there is an ongoing dispute, a bank chargeback or suspected fraud.
Where can I follow my sales and payouts?
Under “Finances”: every sale with its commission, refunds charged to you, the status of each payout and the transfers made. You can export your sales, commissions and transfers as CSV files for your bookkeeping.
This statement is for information only: it isn’t a payment account.
How do I change my bank account?
Enter the new details under “Payments”. The new account is checked before any payout, and an email confirms the change.
A customer is refunded after I’ve been paid. What happens?
The part of the refund charged to you is deducted from your next payouts.
HReturns and disputes
How do returns work?
The customer requests a return from their account within 14 days of delivery. You receive the request under “Returns”: accept it, or decline it with a reason. Once the item is back, you confirm receipt and the refund is triggered.
What happens if there is a dispute?
Our team looks into it with you and the customer. The payout for the order concerned may be put on hold until it’s resolved, as set out in the seller terms.
Do I have to honour the right of withdrawal?
Yes. As a seller, you honour your customers’ right of withdrawal and the legal guarantees they are entitled to.
IPromotions
Can I create discount codes?
Not at the moment: discount codes aren’t available on Darmi Vault today. We’ll update this answer if that changes.
Can I show a crossed-out price?
Yes. Each product can have a compare-at price, shown crossed out next to the selling price. It must be a price you have actually charged, in line with the rules on price reduction announcements.
JAccount security
How do I keep my account secure?
Use a password you don’t use anywhere else and never share it: our team will never ask for it. You can change it at any time from “My account”.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in page, choose “Forgot password”: we’ll email you a reset link.
How am I alerted to a sensitive change?
Any change to your bank details is confirmed by email. If you didn’t make the change, contact us straight away.
How do I report a security issue?
Write to us from the Contact page. Security researchers can also find our contact details in the site’s security.txt file.
