How it works
From first idea to open shop.
Six steps, in the order you’ll go through them. Your shop takes shape while we review your application.
Create your account
An email address, a password, your shop name and the country where your business is registered. Then confirm your address with the link we email you.
Set up your shop
Logo, banner, tagline, an introduction in French and English, the countries you ship to. Everything stays private until your shop is activated.
Add your products
Photos, description, price, stock, weight and variants. Your listings are saved and go live after your shop is activated, when you publish them. Each product is then reviewed before it goes live.
Send your details
Your business, your identity, your tax number if needed and the account that will receive your sales. Your application saves as you type, and your documents are encrypted.
Get your application verified
As soon as it’s complete, your application goes for review. A person on our team reads it; if anything’s missing, we’ll write and tell you exactly what. We can’t guarantee a timeframe.
Start selling once approved
Once your application is approved and your bank account verified, your published products are visible and orders arrive in your Seller Center.
Until it’s approved, your shop can’t receive any orders: nothing is sold in your name without verification.
Documents to have ready
- Your SIREN number, or your company registration number if your business is not French.
- An ID document: ID card, passport or residence permit.
- An IBAN to receive your sales. In the US, your account number.
- Sole trader in the European Union: your tax number, because we must report your sales every year.
No company extract, no proof of address. If we need anything else, we will write to you and tell you why.
Who can sell
- A registered business, company or sole trader, in one of these countries: France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, United States.
- Products that comply with EU law and other applicable law: safety, labelling, intellectual property.
- Acceptance of the seller terms and the compliance commitment.
- A bank account in your name or your business’s name.
How verification works.
A person reviews your application. They check that the business exists and matches your details, that your ID is readable and valid, and that the bank account is in your name or your business’s name.
You’re emailed about every decision or request for more information. If your application is declined, we tell you why.
The most common reasons an application is incomplete
- A company number we can’t find, or that doesn’t match the declared name.
- An ID that’s unreadable, cropped or expired.
- A bank account that isn’t in the name of the seller or their business.
- A missing tax number for a sole trader in the European Union.
- Seller commitments that haven’t been accepted.
The “Activation” page in your Seller Center always shows what’s still needed.
Questions about signing up.
How long does signing up take?
Creating the account takes a few minutes. You then fill in your application at your own pace: it saves automatically as you type.
I already have a customer account. Do I need another one?
No. Sign in, then choose “Open my shop”: you’ll only be asked for your shop name.
What happens if my application is declined?
You get an email explaining why. Your shop stays private and no orders can be placed in it.
Can I sell as a private individual?
No. Darmi Vault is for businesses only: a registered company or sole trader.
Your shop starts with an account.
Free to join. You only pay a commission when you sell.
